In addition to the rich decoration of the temple, the collections of the church museum are striking. Leaving the cathedral, take the funicular to the Hohensalzburg fortress, which looks like a small town protected by fortress walls. In its main tower there are museums: military history and puppets. If time remains, art lovers should visit the Salzburg Gallery, which has an art collection of the 16th-19th centuries, exhibited in a luxurious setting.

Bamberg

The distance to Bamberg, which has a thousand-year history, is 253 kilometers. Its amazing fabulous beauty of the Old Town is taken under the protection of UNESCO. Heading towards the Old Town Hall, you will come across two ancient churches: the Church of St. Gangolf (XII century) and the Cathedral of St. Martin in Gruner Markt. The building of the Old Town Hall was built on an island specially reclaimed for it. The interior of her grand hall is adorned with delightful frescoes and a collection of royal porcelain.

From the town hall, admiring the enchanting view of the colorful and fachferk houses, walk to the Bamberg Cathedral. He became famous for the sculpture of the Bamberg Horseman (1235), the tomb of the emperor and his wife with images of scenes from their lives, the tomb of Pope Clement II and the Chapel of the Holy Nail, which crucified Jesus. You should definitely go to the Rose Garden, located not far from the cathedral. Created in the 18th century, it amazes not only with the abundance of flowers, but also with fountains and sculptures in the Baroque and Rococo styles.

The garden offers a mesmerizing view of the monastery of St. Michael, located on a hill.It is popularly called the "Botanical" garden "due to the decoration of the interior with plant frescoes. The descent from the monastery will lead to the embankment of the Regnitz river in the area called "Little Venice", where near each fachferk house there is a boat dock, and boats sail along the canal. A trip to Bamberg leaves a lot of vivid impressions in your memory.

Telc

Telč is a Czech town located 160 kilometers from Prague, which attracts with its magical atmosphere emanating from the old "gingerbread" houses, reflected in the lake of Telč Castle and historical monuments. Telč is called the city-museum, the Moravian Venice. We will start our journey along it from the main square of Zachariash, which resembles a fairy tale.

On its sides, along the cobbled pavement, stretched a garland of unique colorful houses decorated with intricate stucco moldings and angels. Behind them you will go to the city square with the Mariana Column, made in the style of minimalism. Then we head to Telč Castle - an architectural masterpiece, in an unchanged form of the Renaissance style, which has survived to this day. In its sumptuous Golden Hall, marvel at the ceiling carvings and see the portrait gallery of the entire Zakhariyash family, the former owner of the castle. The collection of war and hunting trophies is of interest in the Knights' and African Halls.

The Telč Castle is adjoined by the Chapel of All Saints, which was built by architects from Italy. Zacharias and his first wife found their rest there. It remains to see only the most ancient building in Telč - the Church of the Holy Spirit with an adjoining 49-meter tower. On it, in addition to the bells of the 17th century, see an exhibition of paintings, and from the observation deck you will admire the picturesque view of the fabulous city, which will remain in your memory for a long time.

Trebic

Trebic is located 142 kilometers from Prague. The town attracts the attention of tourists with a beautiful castle recognized as a historical center. Třebíč arose on the site of a former monastery, from which a basilica has been preserved in the castle. The city began to grow outside the walls of the fortress in the 13th century. Passing to the central Charles Square, you will see 2 Renaissance buildings - Black and Malevanny houses. Their facades attract attention with the depicted hunting scenes made using the sgrafitti technique.

The next sights of Třebíč are its town hall and the monument to Cyril and Methodius. Also noteworthy is the Martinska Square with the 75-meter tower of the Church of St. Martin, preserved from the 13th century. At a height of 35 meters, the tower is equipped with an observation gallery, from which tourists admire the picturesque city panorama. On the tower you will see a clock with one of the largest dials in Europe.

In small Třebíč, UNESCO became interested in two sights - the Jewish Quarter with a cemetery and the Basilica of St. Prokop, adding them to the list of world cultural heritage. The uniqueness of the Basilica of St. Prokop is given by the architecture, expressed by the mixing of the Gothic style with the Romanesque. The main entrance to the temple, the "Gates of Paradise", is of architectural value. It is made with a series of arches that create a sense of volume.
